Touchstone Pictures is releasing a sequel to Armageddon, titled Armageddon 2: The Asteroid Strikes Back, where the asteroid is the hero that saves Earth from the US. The film is set to be released in summer 2026. The sequel is a follow-up to the original 1998 film, which starred Bruce Willis and a team of oil drillers who saved humanity from an asteroid.
