NASA researchers tested a new lightweight wing design, subjecting it to intense stress to determine its structural limits. The results were encouraging, even when the wing was pushed beyond its intended limits. The tests were conducted on a 15-foot version of the design, known as the Structural Wing Experiment Evaluating Truss-bracing.
