Eric Dane, a star of Grey's Anatomy, has died at the age of 53 due to complications from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. He had publicly announced his diagnosis less than a year prior to his passing. Dane was also an advocate for ALS awareness.
