Canada-U.S. trade drops almost $2-billion since early 2024, data show
Canada-US trade has decreased by nearly $2 billion since early 2024, with the largest decline occurring in the motor vehicles and parts sector, which dropped by 18.9% or $6.7 billion. This significant decrease has contributed to the overall decline in two-way trade between the two countries. Trade in other sectors also fell, contributing to the total decline.
