NASA is now targeting early September 2026 for the launch of the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, ahead of its previously planned launch date of May 2027. The accelerated development is a result of successful collaboration between public investment, institutional expertise, and private enterprise. The Roman Space Telescope is on track to launch several months earlier than initially planned.
