Prime Minister Mark Carney has appointed the Honourable Alan S. Diner as the new Chief Justice of the Federal Court, replacing the retired Honourable Paul S. Crampton. Chief Justice Diner previously served as a judge of the Federal Court. He will take over the role following the retirement of Chief Justice Crampton, which was effective October 31, 2025.
