Warlords Battlecry III is a RTS RPG hybrid. Basically you get a hero who can level up (and keeps levels between games) with all the regular RPG elements like items, skills, magic, critical hit, etc

During the game it's a classic RTS, where you build a keep / town hall. harvest goal, stone, and metal, research upgrades, build units, walls towers, and attack your enemy.

Having the hero adds interesting flavor which makes it super fun!

There's a mod called 'The Protectors of Etheria' which is modernizing it a bit and allowing things like higher resolutions. If you like RTS and hybrid games, check it out!
